Jack Sr. and Peggy Ziegler are celebrating their 1st year anniversary as owners of a Totally Nutz franchise. The Totally Nutz Leadership Team recently asked the Ziegler’s to describe their first year for us. Here is what they had to say:

“It’s hard to believe that we’re already approaching our first-year anniversary.  It has been a fantastic year of new experiences, learning and whole lotta roasting!  It’s great to own a business where we can work together as a family, set our own schedules, make and sell a product we love”, stated Peggy. “One of our most fun experiences was having a holiday kiosk for 5 weeks at Park City Center, here in Lancaster.  The days were long, but the weeks flew by.  We enjoyed greeting shoppers who loved our nuts and were full of the holiday spirit”, added Peggy.  “Of course, everyone raved about the delicious aroma of cinnamon filling our wing.  It was great being set up for an extended period.  On Christmas Eve, we were excited to celebrate the holiday and looked forward to relaxing with our family, but sad to say good-bye to our neighboring store co-workers (our best customers!), mall security staff and management”. Perhaps our most successful and favorite event was Lititz Fire & Ice, a long-time festival held in historic Lititz, Pennsylvania.  We really didn’t know what to expect.  Surprisingly, we had amazing sales in just 4 hours. We were a crowd favorite and many customers come back for a full pound after buying only a snack size at first.  Despite pre-roasting, we repeatedly sold-out and even had to take orders.  We can’t wait to do this one again!”, stated Peggy. "It goes without saying that the highlight of our year was our week of training in St. George, Utah.  Being able to spend time with Matt, Yvette, Jill, Wendy, Jennifer, Miles, Deanna and Sandy was wonderful.  Many thanks to the Barker family for their kindness and hospitality”, said Peggy. “We were also grateful for the opportunity to spend time with our fellow new franchisees.  Not only did we learn about the business, but we made new friends.   Since that week, we have shared experiences, successes, concerns, and questions with the other owner teams (who we went through training with).  One team saved us in December when we were low on stock.  Hopefully, we can return the favor to them one day!”, added Peggy “Over the past year, we made and sent countless calls, emails, and texts with questions to the Totally Nutz support staff.  Each time, we were greeted with a friendly response and quick solution.  Thank you for a great year Totally Nutz! We look forward to learning more, growing our business, and many more successful years together”, said Peggy.
