Totally Nutz Franchise prides itself on freedom and flexibility so why would we accept anything else from our franchise owners? Totally Nutz owners can work where and when they desire, and at any event type, they choose. Whether they choose to work part- or full-time is up to the individual owner.

Take franchisee’s Tom and Megan Jeffords’s from Oakdale, California, for example. They just celebrated their first year of ownership and Megan has already moved away from her full-time job with the state. She and Tom now focus on working events in Northern California full-time, together, and they are having a blast! We asked Tom and Megan to describe their experience with Totally Nutz. “I had zero experience in the event business before becoming an owner. Nothing in my past business experience prepared me for being a Totally Nutz franchisee”, stated Tom. “I took everything I learned from training at the corporate office and applied it to my business. Buying into a proven franchisee system means that there is a certain way of doing things, a proven method for success. Applying these methods to my own business has proved to be very successful because they work”, added Tom. “We work a lot of events and I have learned from experience what makes an event really good. We look at demographics, location, duration, cost, and event type. I feel that I have a pulse on picking successful, fruitful events that Megan and I have a great time working”, added Tom. Because the Jeffords’s are willing to work further away from home, they decided to invest in a motorhome which enables them to take their business with them and save money on lodging. It is a rarity that we don’t see 1-2 events on their calendar every single week. Brown Allen, from Oklahoma City, OK., is Totally Nutz most tenured franchisee. Brown is a full-time engineer and runs his Totally Nutz business part-time. We asked Brown to tell us how he chooses events that work with him and his partner’s, Athena’s, work schedule. “I have been working events long enough to know what a good event looks like. I like to work events that are family-friendly, fun and profitable. We have an 11-year old daughter who likes to come and work with us and then we let her go off and enjoy the event with other family and friends”, stated Brown. “It's important to look at the location of the event, the expected attendance at the event, the average weather conditions, and at the competition in the snack arena. These are all the key ingredients to determine if we want to give up our nights and weekends to work our business”, added Brown. “Location for us is key because we still have to work our other jobs. We choose to stay local for this reason.” “We have one event which we have been working for several years. It is a very large renaissance festival which takes place every year for 6 weekends in a row. This has been an incredibly successful event for us. We work 3 days a week for the 6 weeks and make an excellent profit while having a great time with our guests. This is the type of event we look for”, said Brown. We have many other success stories of part- and full-time ownership.  As new prospects are looking at our Totally Nutz opportunity, part of the education process is to have these prospects reach out to current owners to ask about their experience with business ownership, the leadership team, and the concept. This gives prospects a bird’s eye view into what they can expect once they become part of our team.
